The voice sounded kind of like Lisa but with a British or Australian accent. So I went to the Dig Radio Web site to check out the now playing ticker to see who it was. Turns out it was Sarah Blasko, an artist I honestly am not familiar with. http://www.sarahblasko.com/ I'm not saying the comparison extends beyond similarity in vocal sound/style, (at times Blasko is more reminiscent of Beth Orton) but it was one of those serendipity moments that made me want to track down some more of Blasko's music. I think I even heard some violin! The list has been fairly quiet lately - I hope no one is offended by the rather off-topic post. It was a Lisa moment of sorts, and I celebrate those moments. Her first album "Overture & Underscore" is fairly poppy sounding and I don't necessarily mean that to be a bad thing. Her new album "What the Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have" is very good, more introspective and probably more to the liking of most Lisa fans.
