I was there too, and another sycophant "nerd'" from Italy, Enrico (hey!). The concert in Brussels was cancelled - postponed until December: does anyone know why? I was also in Paris. The two shows were pretty similar, except the sound was much better in Leuven (with this wonderful piano) and she was, as usual, particularly in a good mood in Paris, eager to take requests and play more songs. Both support bands were good, though I thought Cortney Tidwell was simply amazing. The tracklisting was similar to the Paris one, except for requests of course. In Leuven, she did a bit of Destroy the flower, she played A beautiful schizophrenic (but her guitar was out of tune), Into the night (I requested that one) and the Darkest night of all. All in all, I found her happier, more comfortable on stage than usual (in previous tours). The most beautiful, emotional versions of her songs were, I thought, If I think of love (did you know this song is dedicated to the Giant Sand - Calexico Gang?), Guillotine love, Except for the ghost, From a shell, Too much space and - for me, obviously, Small Heads which is one of my favorites ever. OK. That was my yearly contribution to this list. In addition, here are some gorgeous pictures Enrico got from this guy in Leuven. P.S. About the eels. I think they're awesome. They were my favorite band before I heard Lisa and I actually got to know her thanks to them, when she was opening for them with Slide. She then played with them during the "It's a wondxerful day" tour and I think she plays a bit on that album. You can definitely hear her on the live album in any case. Cheers to you all. That's why I went--I wanted to see her and she wasn't doing any concerts of her own music back then. She played about ten instruments really well, switching back and forth between them in, often in mid-song, without missing a beat--I was impressed. Still, I didn't really like the band. Go figure. - --Tom In a message dated 11/20/2006 6:30:26 AM Pacific Standard Time, loser_geek2000@yahoo.com writes: Lisa opened for the Eels and played violin and sang back up on a couple of their albums.
