It's more fun on Stina's message board (see www.seekyoudanger.com): we talk and we talk and we talk... about Lisa, for example. See what I got here. quote: - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Normally, a new record will be out this autumn. Before Stina's maybe. I'm quite impatient somewhere. - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She doesn-t have a record label yet so it-s unclear when the record will get released. I have heard an unmastered version of the new record and i just don-t know what to think.I like it but since my favorite Lisa record is Slide this one sounds a bit too....drumless . Most songs dont have percussion or drums at all and she doesn-t hmmmm...hmmmmm as much as she used to, and i-ve always loved that. I think 2 or 3 do have drums, more or less like Slide but without Tchad Blake-s touch. It was produced by Lisa herself, the songs are short(3.00 mins all more or less). I think it reminds me of Geek the girl, but this one has some brighter feeling, more piano, more violin than previous albums i would say, more electronic sounds(not to many), and even mandolins on the title track. The version i have has 2 more songs that are not supoused to be on the album( at the moment it-ll just have 10 songs), too bad they are really nice. In a way it-s comparable to Bjork-s Vespertine(i like both artists and i-m not comparing their musical skills or anything, it-s just the slow "chimey" feeling of both albums). As a whole i think it-s a good album, i-ll have to wait for a mastered version to see if the tiny percussion becomes more powerfull. A beautiful album indeed.. "...From a little shell at the bottom of the sea..." And it's signed Lenfer. Don't know more. Someone may try to ask him further, if he wants. As such, the material may change a bit before the final release (ex. Lisa will probably take the songs through some sort of remake, adding more violin-playing, percussion etc.) The tracklisting has also changed a bit from what we posted at Lisa Germano Online. The current one (although this may very well change once again) is as follows: 01. Nobody's Playing 02. Paper Doll 03. Liquid Pig 04. Pearls 05. Candy 06. Dream Glasses Off 07. From A Shell * 08. It's Party Time 09. Lies, Lies, Lies ** 10. Lullaby For Liquid Pig 11. Into The Night 12. To Dream * Previously titled "It's A Buzz" ** Previously titled "All The Pretty Lies" There is currently only 1 album-outtake: "Making Promises". The song will probably be released as a b-side on the first single off the new album. The new album still hasn't a label assigned, although such big-wigs as A&M Records and Rough Trade have expressed interest. It is still unknown if anything will work out (there is still a big chance that the album will be released on Major Bill Records). We'll keep you posted as soon as anything new comes in. With kind regards, Lisa Germano Online Att.
