The final mixing is still in progress, but should be finished very soon. The Laura Nyro compilation can be bought through both www.cdnow.com and www.amazon.com. They will ship their items worldwide if you pay by creditcard. Does anyone know what became of that project? I remember that someone created a small one-page site with cover-art for this cd, and that several people had recorded material. If someone can help out, please let us at Lisa Germano Online know. We would be happy to help out in any way. I'm boycotting Amazon due to their attempts to patent obvious mechanisms :-/. But I have to share this "gem" from an Amazon reviewer with you: This tribute to Laura Nyro is uneven at best. It features some well produced and interpreted cuts (Phoebe Snow, Jill Sobule), some straighforward and well done interpretations (Beth Nielsen Chapman, Roseanne Cash) and some perfectly awful renditions (Lisa Germano's moribund Eli's Coming and Dana Bryant's unlistenable Woman's Blues). Lisa's version is _very_ different from the original up-tempo song, but she has made the song her own -- I honestly couldn't have said Lisa didn't write this. I have a feeling Phoebe Snow's version will be one of my least favourite ;-) I'll keep looking ... - -- Kjetil T.
