I was thinking we could do some kind of survey in order to nominate some categories related to Lisa's work, you know, like the oscars. Here are the categories: - - BEST ALBUM - - BEST LYRIC - - SADDEST SONG - - MOST CHEER-UP SONG - - BEST INSTRUMENTAL SONG - - BEST LINE (from a lyric) - - THE MOST DISTURBING SONG - - BEST SONG OF ALL - - BEST LISA-LIKE ARTIST/ BAND - - THE SONG YOU MOST HEARD REPEATEDLY If you can't decide for one single choice in some category, you MAY use 2 answers for a category. Send me the results privatly, so that everybody is neutral, and not deviated by other people's answers. I'll post the results within a week or so. - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address. The majority of the dates on the eels' June tour, which was just announced last week (allstar, May 17), have now been canceled. At press time, a spokesperson for the group would only say that the dates were canceled for "a variety of reasons." The group was scheduled to play about nine shows in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Those dates are now scaled down to four shows: the Bowery Ballroom in New York on June 22; the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on June 24; and two Los Angeles shows at the Roxy on June 25 and June 26. The eels will also perform on Late Night With David Letterman on June 22. There are no plans to reschedule the dates at this time, according to the eels' spokesperson. The group's latest album, Daisies of the Galaxy, released on DreamWorks in March, has sold just 24,189 copies to date. this story was borrowed from: http://www.cdnow.com/cgi- bin/mserver/redirect/leaf=allstararticle/fid=202817 - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address.
