It's not available here in 'blighty' (I don't think), so I imported it from the states from music boulevard at a very reasonable $11.88 + postage. I had tried to order it numerous times from various sites, but after I'd placed my order, it was always mysteriously out of stock. This completes my Lisa collection. Just had my first listen through, and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised - if not possibly a bit biased. It's really good. I think that the instrumentals work really well. It doesn't sound dated at all. Will Lisa ever make a bad record? I still listen to Lisa's stuff all the time, despite my huge collection of music. It's good therapy. All the worse if Lisa turns out not to make any more records. The fact that this record has been re-released must mean that they are expecting to sell sufficient quantities to make a profit. Anybody know what sort of sales figures Lisa's albums generate ? Judging by the turnout at the many gigs I've been to, she must at least sell enough to keep going. Those of you who don't have it yet, there is now no excuse. PS are there any UK Lisa fans out there ? I like Lisa Germano lots. I know other people, friends of mine who live in the UK and they also like her. One friend went to see her twice at shows she did in London. She even got to go back stage at the very last show she did. She said it was the best concert she ever went to. She didn't say why though. colder@home.com > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-sycophant@smoe.org [mailto:owner-sycophant@smoe.org]On > Behalf Of John Barron > Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 1999 4:11 PM > To: Lisa Germano Mailing List (E-mail) > Subject: sycophant THE MOON PALACE > > > Probably a bit late compared with everybody else, but I've just > got a copy of moon palace which has been re-issued by Koch. From what I've observed, Lisa Germano doesn't seem to be as known or as popular in north america as she is in Europe? Or maybe it's just where I am from. The only reason I heard of her was from a friend in Denmark. Am I wrong?? Colder Than Snow wrote: > Hi I'm from the Uk originally but now I live here in Canada. I like Lisa > Germano lots. She got some good reviews in the french music press for that record and that's how I was introduced to her. I bought the CD and I've been a fan of hers ever since. I've been a fan ever since. I once heard "love sick" on the radio here in Canada on CBC "Brave New Waves" and I really cranked it up. i thought this was really cool. But that's the only time I ever heard anything by her played on the radio. colder@home.com > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-sycophant@smoe.org [mailto:owner-sycophant@smoe.org]On > Behalf Of Holly Moerschbacher > Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 1999 7:09 PM > To: sycophant@smoe.org > Subject: Re: sycophant THE MOON PALACE > > > Hey... > From what I've observed, Lisa Germano doesn't seem to be as known > or as popular > in north america as she is in Europe?
