I think it's just her sense of humor, or the way she can be quite serious and tragic one moment, and poking fun at herself the next. I must admit, the last time I saw her at the KF, I sort of, well, cried when she played Singing To The Birds. I love that song. I think the people who laughed so hard at her comment of not being a complainer anymore had to have been at that Brownies gig. Of course that place is a dump anyway! But I think maybe some equipment was stolen, and they'd been working with rental equipment that maybe wasn't soundchecked properly. Does anyone know what happened there? Anyway she was (understandably) quite sullen at that particular gig. But Lisa, she's great. I'll take her anyway she's comes, but I'm glad she seems to be happier these days. Thank god, she's on a cool label like 4AD, who always really seem to get behind their artists.
