I've listened to them many times. I find that soundboard recordings are vastly superior to audience recordings. I like as little crowd noise as possible. I am disappointed by the variety in the set lists. Several songs appear multiple times over the six bootlegs. I understand that some songs get played at more songs than others, so they might be better represented on the boots. However, there are songs that were played quite often that aren't on the boots. I mean, this is the first tour in several that Blood Roses got played a lot (and probably the only one where she'll play it on an organ), but it's not on a boot. I tried not to hope for any specific songs, but the overall lack of variety is a little disappointing. That said, I'm glad we got official boots at all. I hope she continues the trend (and releases a greater percentage of shows) on future tours. Cheers, Tom M. I'm sure she would have *loved* to have released a wider variety of material on the handful of CDs she released. Whatever made these the concerts she wanted to release must have trumped the desire for variety in the songs. > That said, I'm glad we got official boots at all. And I sure hope you know about the SOUNDBOARD Frankfurt show that I seeded on ToriTraders and DimeaDozen over the weekend; it has SBD Blood Roses on the Hammond! ;) Sprk. I generally prefer audience recordings myself because I think soundboards sound a bit sterile, but I thought the official ones had enough audience mix in them to give the sound a better balance. Chicago and LA were both really strong shows and as Richard said, Chicago was very emotional. There's also that fabulous kick-ass version of Apollo's Frock and also Ruby Through the Looking Glass which I think added to the "rare song" appeal bootlegs have. I was also happy with Denver and Manchester as choices since neither of those had circulated audience copies. London and Boston are great choices since both were stand-out shows. I personally would have liked to have seen the Ireland show that Damien Rice showed up for and Istanbul, both of which haven't been circulated. I'd say Detroit, Austin & Houston, and San Diego also would have been great choices - all really good shows.
