I think he'd do an amazing job with it. (His cover of Bob Dylan's "Nobody 'Cept You" is beyond amazing.) I posted this to RDTRN, but I'll pose it here as well: For those of you who have tried listening to an alternate tracklist for the Beekeeper, what are you using? The order of the songs in the lyric sheet are different than the ones in the "table of contents" (to the left of the CD when you open the CD case). Not only that, but the "table of contents" is circular and I'm not sure how you'd figure out which goes after which. I'm not sure I'm making any sense, just wondering what alternate tracklists you've tried. I'm working on this one and it's not working for me any better than the CD order is: General Joy Barons of Suburbia The Beekeeper Sweet the Sting Martha's Foolish Ginger Toast Cars and Guitars Hoochie Woman Witness Original Sinsuality Mother Revolution Ribbons Undone Jamaica Inn Marys of the Sea Sleeps with Butterflies The Power of Orange Knickers Parasol Goodbye Pisces Ireland (Actually, this tracklist is making me dislike the songs I don't like even more.) I haven't said this here yet, but my favorite songs on the album are "Marys of the Sea," "Parasol," "Toast," "The Beekeeper," "Original Sinsuality" and "Mother Revolution." I also like "Hoochie Woman" and "Jamaica Inn" OK. I can pretty much leave the rest of them. I personally wouldn't want to hear Hotel without the band, but to each his own. My dream set for this tour: Original Sinsuality Blood Roses Parasol Upside Down Carbon Liquid Diamonds Suede Jamaica Inn Famous Blue Raincoat (Leonard Cohen) Last Goodbye (Jeff Buckley) Marys of the Sea Mother Martha's Foolish Ginger Cloud on My Tongue The Beekeeper - -------------------- Muhammad My Friend Indian Summer - ------------------------ Merman Pretty Good Year I feel like I shafted Little Earthquakes, but I've seen her play almost every song on that CD multiple times (still haven't seen Girl, though). Alternates that would be more than fine: Apollo's Frock, Cooling, Winter, Honey, General Joy, and Goodbye Pisces. Now, I can't wait until the next US tour leg. I'm hoping she opens the show with either General Joy or Scarlet's Walk, but I'm not holding my breath. Cheers, Tom M.
