Olges" Subject: Re: The Quiet Game Okay, I'll play. I have made a CD of a bunch of Tori's dance remixes, like "Raspberry Swirl," "Professional Widow," and "Blue Skies" (which I know is really a BT song, but she does sing on it). I like to listen to it while I do active things, like clean the house or -- on the very rare occasion -- exercise. I almost always listen to music while I'm doing things on the computer, so I've got different playlists for different moods -- slow, ballady songs ("Never Seen Blue," "Beulah Land," "Josephine," etc.) for when I'm really mellow, and more upbeat songs ("iieee," "Precious Things," "Glory of the 80s," "Taxi Ride," etc.) for when I need cheering up or when I'm feeling kind of hyper. I've thought about putting together a "Make-Out" mixed CD, but I don't know how my hubby would react. :) I'm not sure what would go on it, though. Any suggestions? Any >>suggestions? It fascinates me how Tori songs that have become close friends to all of us, can become interpreted so differently. Her music, her being, her presence unites us all. Her songs especially unite us and bring us to these chat rooms and her concerts. Yet, in the same sense, those songs that bring us together, "calling for my soul at the corners of the world", can also divide us. On that note, some of her songs have different meanings for me. For example, I said that I like to work out to 'Iiee.' Yet, that song gets my juices flowing and it gets me excited. I love the energy in it. So if I were to make a Makeout CD, 'Iiee' would definitely be on it. Some other girls would be 'Father Lucifer', 'Putting the Damage On', 'Hey Jupiter', 'Twinkle', 'Lust', 'Suede', 'Cooling', 'Sugar' (especially where she says "You're Such A Pussy, My Sweet Boy")', maybe even 'I'm Not In Love', or 'A Sorta Fairytale', and finally 'Your Cloud'. That's all that I can think of off the top of my head. There are plenty others, I'm sure. And all of us are going to associate different songs with different emotions. Not sure if that helped, but hopefully it did. It's hard to say what I listen to when I do certain things. I basically have Tori playing 27/4. I do like listening to "From the choirgirls hotel" when I do things like clean the dorm, or exercise... though that doesn't happen often. If I feel in a dark, funky mood i play her darker stuff. . . "Cruel" "Professional Widow" "Lust" But it all depends... Lately I've just been listening to gobs of Bee Sides hah. Suggestions for the make-out cd: "Lust" - it's pretty and soothing "Time" - pretty "Enjoy the Silence" - aww Hmm it's hard to think of any more.... they are all too sad haha. Hi, I just purchased what seems to be an original copy of Y Kant Tori Read from Atlantic. I only paid $12 for it down at this used CD shop. How can I tell it it's really real and not a boot. The cover art is eactly as it should be, the CD looks to be real with Atlantic info printed on it. Anyone have any suggestions? There used to be a site that defined real from boot on YKTR but I can't recall what it is. Any help would be appreciated.
