I am going to be in Boston (Berklee College of Music) until August 13th or somewhere around then & I wanted to go see one of Tori's summer shows-- I was just wondering if any of you who live around any of the venues or have been there before could recommend me which one might be closest/most easily acessible from Boston & most interesting, etc. (and if i end up at the one on Tori's b-day i will most certainly sing happy b-day to her :) ) Thanks so much! That actually happened once before (at least as far as I know) because she had a show in Nashville in 99 on her birthday too. She dismissed the band with the "okay, this is where the boys go away and it's just us for a few minutes" and out comes Mark with a birthday cake (at least I think it was a cake, my seats were.. not so good) and the crowd went "aww" and sang happy birthday. I think she got a little choked up, and then she sang Landslide which is probably the most appropriate song for a birthday ever. Makes me want to go listen to the boot of it now just to remember it. She almost always does a show on her birthday when she's touring. In 1998 the crew came out at the second (maybe first, I can't remember) encore with cake and everyone sang. Fun stuff. I'd firstly like to thank Shamen for helping me with my speling - its prerty tuf when you're an alien!! Secondly many thanks for all the further good wishes and information provided. Had a very good day last Friday picking up 'Earthquakes' and 'Choirgirl' for a song in a little record shop opposite Virgin in Corporation St. Birmingham, (England). Virgin wanted #10.99 and #15.99 respectively and I paid #5.89 each - now that's what I call value for money. However I'm finding it extremely difficult to get into both as well as UTP but as with 'Pele' which took alot of pain before it clicked, I'll persevere. 'Scarlet's' is still numero uno at the moment for me. Been interested to see your top ten selections. Don't recall seeing any Roxy or Ferry choices so I don't think I'll bother you with mine as they're slightly biased! Ni Night.
