She'll be here on Wednesday at the Tralfamadore Cafe - a nice place for seeing a show. I believe Patty's the only one on stage at the Tralf that night. Britney Spears is here on Wednesday, too, if that's more your flavor. I'm opting for Patty. Anyone else going? Leigh P.S. I'm really looking forward to some reviews of Monday's show in Harrisburg with Darcie opening. Go Darcie! I'll be cheering you on from Buffalo! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Jun 2002 15:41:22 -0400 From: "* Darcie *" Subject: MM: sort of NPC: nervousness Hi guys, Just wanted to get on here and say thank you for being so cool and having nothing but wonderful things to say about me opening for Patty. It really has been a dream ever since I heard the first line.. "..diamonds..." I think you all are with me on that. I hope you still have lovely things to say AFTER the show!!! Now moving on to me being unbelievably nervous. OMG. I can't even explain how I feel. I don't get nervous for shows....I mean last time I played the Whitaker, I opened for Jeff Gaines...and I do remember shaking in my shoes. HOWEVER, this is just a *bit* different......LOL Double whammy. I get there @ 4, I hope I get there on time! I have to work tomorrow. Got my set list. Gonna play thru it tonight. Pack my clothes. No new dress though...*sigh* I hope you all enjoy the show. :-) And if you *really* like it, pick up a CD. thanks, ~darc http://www.darcieminerband.com p.s. and for anyone out there whose a fan of Marah, we're playing with them at the Khyber in Philly in July!Get more from the Web. I'm sure of it. I have a feeling once you get through the first song and hear the thundering applause you will definitely relax and be even more into it ;) Best of luck, jessica www.jessicaweiser.com | www.aftersilence.net new album AFTER SILENCE available NOW! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Jun 2002 19:56:09 -0700 From: "Marc Hertz" Subject: MM: A couple of random Patty things I was in Detroit over the past few days for a funeral and while driving near the Farmington Hills area (if memory serves), I saw a restaurant called Sweet Lorraine's Cafe. Obviously, made me think of Patty and provided a little solace in the midst of a pretty depressing weekend. Secondly, on the flight back to LA today, I was looking through the Hemispheres audio selections guide and saw that they were featuring Patty on a Salute to Songwriters station. The host of the special is Dan Kimpel and the songs they play are as follows: Be Careful Chief Mary Rain Flaming Red Long Road Making Pies Moses So, if you're flying United anytime in the next week (since I'm guessing they'll change the menu in July), look through your Hemispheres to see if you're on the right plane (unfortunately, I wasn't). Portland 6/2/02 Hi, I recorded the wonderful show Patty did in Portland a few weeks ago. This is a monaural audience recording made with a minidisc recorder and Core Sound mics. I've recorded quite a few shows of other artists (this was my first opportunity to record Patty) and I'd say this one turned out really well. It's not as good as a soundboard recording, but for an audience recording I'd say it sounds really good. I'm looking to trade for any live shows of Patty. I trade only CDR using DAO (disc at onceeliminates gaps between songs). I don't have much in the way of live stuff by Patty , so if you have anything of good quality that you're willing to share let me know. Please contact me privately at the email address below if you're interested or if you have questions. Thanks!
