Kane, well they did have a vocalist of color, but I hope that is not the basis of the comparison and , beach boys? well, there *are* harmonies,,,?? Myself, I heard more Beefheart and Pop Group in there, but regardless, this album stands on it's own without reference points. brilliant Tanya Donelly - Whisky Tango Ghosts Stunning understated beauty Never a Throwing Muses fan, I was suprised how much I liked the belly albums (esp the second, King) Donelly's solo albums were sleepers as well, but WTG screams so quietly lizzy mercier descloux - press color and mambo nassau reissues the joy of finally seeing these two albums remastered and reissued in beautiful packaging with extensive liner notes was almost demolished by lizzy's passing in May. i am astounded how much i miss someone i never met. ryuichi sakamoto - chasm and /04 chasm is a mixed bag of pop experiments with social coincienciousness, some of which work quite well rs evidently likes his kaoss pad as well as i do ;) the single, undercooled is a great favorite with my daughter (who is also very fond of ayumi hamasaki, a guilty pleasure of mine) /04, while having probably the 25th version of merry christmas mr lauwrence, is still a beautiful listen miho - murmur quiet electronic with quiet japanes vocals http://tinyurl.com/4guuh earlier releases are not so highly recommended net labels thinner/autoplate http://www.autoplate.org/ sutemos http://www.sutemos.net/en/ check out the Intelligent Toys selections nanoloop 2.01 eight bit eight voice polyphony on a gambboy advance lowlights no usa wire appearances no new wire recording gone: john peel joe strummer lizzy mercier descloux and now 40,000+ in asia still here: george bush michael moore (why can't the opposition get a more articulate spokesperson? all the better ones are good comedians: see penn gilette, jon stewart... really sad) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 28 Dec 2004 09:38:03 -0500 (GMT-05:00) From: Wilson Subject: Re: [idealcopy] I'd rather make furniture >>I just need Trescothick and Strauss to bat all day tomorrow Almost got your wish there, Keith! The tracks with Daddy Freddy on them were the best of it, except he didn't go "bbbbbbbbb!" nearly enough. If you like the Notwist, have you heard _Miami_ by The Go Find? Great stuff. a ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2004 02:18:04 +0000 From: Tim Subject: [idealcopy] Sum Wire Up In One Song Making a mixtape (well ok its a CD-R) for someone, and only room for 1 Wire track.
