chakram-refugees@smoe.org

chakram-refugees is a list for members of the legendary chakram mailing 
list, so capably run as a service to online fans of the show XENA: WARRIOR 
PRINCESS by Venator from December 1995 to September 2001.  The list shut 
down suddenly due to technical and ISP issues, with no warning.  Several 
chakram denizens were not yet ready to give up their favorite forum to 
discuss their favorite show, and thus chakram-refugees was born.

Unlike the original chakram list, chakram-refugees is unmoderated.  This 
does not mean, however, that the high standard of quality we all came to 
expect on chakram has been abandoned.  We expect list members to moderate 
themselves, to keep the discussion at the high level chakram was known 
for.  Flames of any kind will absolutely not be tolerated.  Fan fiction is 
also not allowed.  "Me too" posts are strongly discouraged.  Please note 
that the list is intended to be subtext-friendly, though any display of 
intolerance of any view will be addressed immediately.  The listowner 
reserves the right to intervene at any time, and even to remove someone 
from the list if they prove themselves unable to follow the rules.

We expect to provide a haven for former members of the original chakram 
list; however, we will happily welcome anyone who is willing and able to 
contribute to intelligent discussion of one of the landmark shows in 
television history.

To subscribe, send an e-mail to majordomo@smoe.org with "subscribe 
chakram-refugees" (or, for the daily digest version, "subscribe 
chakram-refugees-digest") in the message body.  You will not be added to 
the list until you respond to the auto-confirm message you will receive in 
return.  Once you respond to the auto-confirm message, you will be able to 
post to the list.
