Hi! My name is Stephen, what's yours? You're probably wondering why I'm contacting you! Well, so am I! It's like this; after being a well meaning techno-amateur for many years as a youth, I decided to get serious about it. I determined that programming was the way to really learn how computers and computer networks function, so I bought a few books (one came with a compiler) and I taught myself Visual C++ (along with HTML, Visual BASIC and others). Five years later, I've written many applications. My latest is MailMunky. This is the reason I'm writing you now. I thought, 'Wouldn't it be cool to say 'hi' to a million people in a single day?', then I thought, 'Yeah, definitely. And the Internet is the way to do it!' So I wrote MailMunky. It can read thousands of web pages per hour, and scans them for email addresses, which addresses it stores and sends, as I like. I found you on http://www.fruvous.com/news/faq.html. I assume you wouldn't mind the email, since you posted your address and I'm not asking you for money or trying to sell you a product. ANYway, I also realized that MailMunky could be the ultimate spammer's tool, so I added an account generator. This feature allowed me to create over ten MILLION email addresses in about four hours! I can't contact THOSE people, because that would violate my ISP's rules, but, I've been just dying to use MailMunky to say 'HELLO' to the world! So HELLO! Here's a poem I wrote about D-Day (available on my site www.e-s.cc with a thousand others); 'DOG TAGS' 04/93 These names of long winters speak, for days of green summers mourn, on crosses in rows, the grave's granite voice, these names give meaning to bones. Where lie your young murdered brothers? How found you your fathers afield? What marker betrayed their sun bleached remains? Names, remembered in steel.
