The story is simple: Boy meets girl Girl is a destiny believer Girl tries to give boy phone number, gust of wind blows it away Girl believes it's "destiny" and decides to leave the whole thing alone Boy begs Girl writes her number in a copy of "Love in the time of Cholera" saying she'll sell it to a used bookstore, and if he can find it, it's "meant to be." The whole story plays out something like that. If "I Will Hold On" *isn't* on the soundtrack for this, I'm going to cry. Which is unfortunate, because the "Boy" is John Cusack, and I love John Cusack. Mmm....John Cusack... Who's with me on this! Of course, thematically, the same reason it's the perfect inspiration for IWHO is the same reason it's good for the movie. Of course, if a=b and b=c, then a=c, then IWHO is perfect for the movie.
