You know, we're not too far away from the halfway point to the next FruCon. Has there been any talk among the organizers of last years FruCon regarding the next FruCon? We wouldn't be surprised if the prevailing mindset is "if there's no Fruvous show, why bother with a FruCon". For the record, you can count Mar and I in as attendees for FruCon5 even if Fruvous is still on hiatus. That's because it's reasonable to think that by next February at least one of the lads will at be doing a solo show, besides, Toronto is a world-class city with a ton of things to do. See you in Toronto, Brent and Mar - -- Death is but a doorway, time is but a window, I'll be back. - --Vigo the Carpathian "Ghostbusters II" ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Jul 2001 15:31:24 GMT From: Katherine Maheux Subject: Re: FruCon5 ama wrote: > i suppose someone will make an official statement sooner or later, but > I'll be there... like i _need_ an excuse to go to Toronto ;) Unofficial official statement: Brent, I want to thank you for getting the ball rolling on Frucon discussion. Our committee hasn't been this active in a while. But here's the thing. We need you guys. You really loyal people who I know are still out there and who would want to come up to Toronto to hang out and do cool things. We need tons of suggestions, crazy suggestions. Email us at frucon@yahoogroups.com and give us pointers on what kind of Frucon *you* want. Let us know what we'd have to do to get you excited (wait, we're not *that* kind of committee ;) Or just discuss it here, In any case, let's get cracking :) Kath ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Jul 2001 14:23:18 -0500 (CDT) From: Lynne Subject: Falcon Ridge Is their someone who is going to Falcon Ridge that might be able to purchase a CD for me and send it to me after the weekend? I wrote up a list of what to bring, that turned out somewhat longer than I expected when I started the reply :) After writing it up and posting to nields-nook, I got a lot of feedback, posted to some other lists, repeated the following year... After updating and reposting the text three years in a row, I made it into a web site in the spring of 2000: http://cos.polyamory.org/frfflist.html This message is being posted to: nields nook, alt.music.moxy-fruvous, edheads, dar list, ecto, suspects, falcon-ridge If you know of any other mailing lists that this posting would be appropriate for, let me know. If you have feedback about the list of things to bring to Falcon Ridge, send me your suggestions. [I am subscribed to all of the above except dar list, but if you have feedback please email me directly because I may miss list postings.] -- Cos (Ofer Inbar) -- cos@aaaaa.org cos@polyamory.org -- WBRS Waltham 100.1 FM -- info@wbrs.org http://www.wbrs.org/ "Long live folk music, and this doomed festival!" -- moxy fruvous ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V5 #195 ********************************************
