I miss the acoustic days of VH, and I REALLY miss JP. Cary Pierce's solo record just doesn't capture the greatness they had together. I think he wrote better before he found love and happiness and settled down and all :) He is worth checking out on tour though- of course!~ http://www.carypierce.com What I've been listening to lately is my new Lowen & Navarro fanclub CD, and stuff I've just gotten into recently. Mostly Jackson Browne, Indigo Girls (I gave Emily my boyfriend's CD!! YAAAY!) and Cat Stevens (Tea for the Tillerman-- oh man! His Behind the Music was AWESOME) Angel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2000 00:15:55 GMT From: "Chris K @*_*@" Subject: Re: The Item on EBay You know, I was just thinking (shocking, I know it!)...since we were talking about selling photos of Fruvous on eBay and not getting permission to do so, taking of our souls etc. etc. This thought goes out to AJ (underneath the name "Reiser" on the CD) and anyone else (except for Chad cuz I think he was blocked out of this photo *g* Why? We're not sure of that - maybe this will start the "Chad is dead" rumors) Did Fruvous ask for *our* permission to use us in the Live Noise photo in the center of the CD? I think we're owed some money here. ;) Christine. - --18. Video Bargainville *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* - --Diet soda? - --No thanks. FREAKED!!!! - --Fiddle Faddle? "Oh, did they start to suck when they made the change, like Jackopierce?" "Er, what?" "Nevermind..." I was sure that Vertical Horizon avoided the "we're electric, it's time to pretend we're rock stars" bug that hit JP -- "Live Stages" (the album *after* the album that VH turned to the solid-bodies) is among my all-time favorite albums, live *or* studio -- but "Everything You Want" proved me wrong. Ah well. No self-respecting (former) member of a (former) folk-rock duo should ever wear silver pants on stage, IMO. That's my not-so-subtle attempt to avoid a straight-up "Me, too!" post :-) But this is why I really posted: >What I've been listening to lately is my new Lowen & Navarro fanclub CD... Okay, so I've been wondering this since I saw L&N last fall and they passed out flyers for their cruise: Who had the first cruise, Lowen & Navarro or Eddie From Ohio? Who (either one of them or some other band) originally came up with the idea of fan-cruises? -Joe, who's also been wondering how long it'll take "Tom Landa & The Paperboys" to become, er, "Tom Landa" and "The Ex-Paperboys". ------------------------------ Date: 23 Oct 2000 17:30:23 -0700 From: navratil@endymion.hyperion (Joe Navratil) Subject: Re: The Item on EBay In article <39F4D457.844DDB06@ehmail.com>, Chris K @*_*@ wrote: > Did Fruvous ask for *our* permission to use us >in the Live Noise photo in the center of the CD? I think a live CD from a bunch of sources *might* be covered under "recorded transmission", but I'm not sure if that just means something like "a live-but-tape-delayed showing of this entire concert". Someone with a bit more lawerly knowledge might want to field that one :-) -Joe ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2000 01:25:19 GMT From: "Chris K @*_*@" Subject: Re: The Item on EBay Joe Navratil wrote: > In article <39F4D457.844DDB06@ehmail.com>, > Chris K @*_*@ wrote: > > Did Fruvous ask for *our* permission to use us > >in the Live Noise photo in the center of the CD? So, are we still entitled to our money? Just my $0.02 cdn. BTW, is there a /kick command for the NG?
