The thing about this newsgroup is that there are a lot of people here who love to argue and discuss and they will use any old thing as a pretext to explore what is essentially a much larger and more generalized issue than the one which sparked the debate. I don't think anyone really thinks that Amy is a horrible person or someone who is blatantly using the band for her evil personal gain. Rather what is going on here is a discussion of more generally whether Selling photos of someone is a good (or proper) thing. However mixed in with that interesting philosophical discussion we also have people rushing to Amy's defense (even though Amy was never really the central point, only an example) and then we have the "That is a pretty lame picture to be selling" contingent. :D A.J. - -- "I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." - --G.W.Bush Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000 Email:aj@locicero.org ICQ: 13117113 AIM: locicero For some of the best Long Distance and Calling Card rates around visit http://www.ld.net/?sensible. Nah, but I bet you have a big poster of them (which probably has a picture which is rougly close to 8x10), a bunch of setlists and pictures and autographs; but I guess that really doesn't seem stalker-ish to anyone. How can anyone in their right mind justify the taking of one's picture, let alone SELLING it for profit? Its morally reprehensible. Its just another example of the fundimental core, the decline that has happened here in these times. Mired are we in the sess pool of technology, where we have replaced being in his image with being in our own. What type of price does one place on a captured spirit? How can a just people continue to exist with their soul scattered amongst the billions replications? Another example of evil in a pure form. Trappings, thats all trapping. Hallow, shallow, trappings, a two dimensional prision designed to capture and hold, replace the tangible you with a forever frozen moment. Do not look through the world via a lens, do not steal someone's soul, come out from the darkness which threatens to capture us all. Release your captured souls, they just want to be free.
