Keeter Man here from "Insanity on the Airwaves!" Just dropping a line to let all of you demented music fans know that "Insanity on the Airwaves" has returned to the airwaves! Our first show is this Saturday, October 7th at 5 PM Central Time. Joining myself and Plain Simple Garak in the studio will be the great Luke Ski as he spins some of his new tunes for the all the world to hear. This slot may or may not be the permanent time slot for the show this year; the schedule is still in the process of being set here at WLFM; we may be moving to Monday nights for a 2 hour slot. Once we have the slot solidified I'll post here again to let everyone know when the show is. Web broadcast will be up for the show via live365.com (check our web site for the address) as a temporary thing until WLFM brings their web broadcast server online sometime within the next 4-6 weeks. As always keep checking the show's web page at http://www.subtrivial.com/keeterman/insanity/ for the latest details. Please feel free to email me any requests or topic suggestions for the show. Our request line as always during the show is 920-832-6566. This is a Musically Focussed Newsgroup, yes >it is. Our lads may be off on their hie--whatchamacallit, but there's >other stuff going on out there. >> For those of you in Canada, the Brothers Creeggan will be playing 3 dates in Nov. in Toronto, Ottowa, and Montreal. Most of the cross-posting BNL fans probably already know this, but I suggest any of you that haven't seen the Brothers check them out if you're in the area. The chemistry (is that the correct term, since they're brothers? :-) between them is very fun to watch, and, oh yeah, they're very talented musicians!!! If you aren't a BNL fan, and are disregarding this post, keep in mind that this is a different style of music, and for Frü-content, Dave sang with them on their first album. Enjoy if you go, and give my regards to their adorable drummer Ian, as I can't make it....... I heartily recommend Neil Gaiman. He's amazing. "Stardust" has just become one of my favourite books. Also, "Good Omens", by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. That's one of the best books I've ever read. It reminded me of Douglas Adams, but (dare I say?) better. Now I'm off on a hopeless quest to find the Sandman graphic novels in a town without comic book stores. - --- Crystal Lee Cooper DrPyser@tmbg.org http://fly.to/drpyser - --- And on the subject of naming animals, can I just say how delighted I was recently to dicover that the word 'yeti', literally translated, apparently means 'that thing over there'. ('Quick, brave Himalayan Guide - what's that thing over there?' 'Yeti.' 'Gosh, really?') - -- the introduction to "In The End", written by Neil Gaiman in his short story anthology "Smoke and Mirrors" - --- << 2) Books! What's everyone reading? For those of you into fantasy who also like kids' stuff -- check out The Dark Is Rising series by Susan Cooper. Pretty awesome, and rather ... um ... The only book that's ever come even close to Neil's work, is The Underpainter by Jane Urquhart. VERY good. Very artsy and Canadian! Shawna (who saw GBS last night!!!
