Consider it more a rhetorical statement than anything therapeutic... save perhaps for her own self-therapy. I used to do much of the same thing, only it was hardly as eloquent and had all the markings of a typical Angie Brain-fart. I read it as a "spoken out loud" kind of musing, and nothing more; but maybe that's because i can relate to some of it and she and i have actually talked about some of it. At the very farthest stretch; i would say she was seeking some approval or justification that her assessment of her personal situation was the right one. Everyone does it; makes a decision... then turns to someone for confirmation that they are doing the right thing. 3. I'm now insanely jealous and gonna go find my woobie blankie and curl up in a corner... lookit how many times Gella's name got mentioned in the ng... she's so popular... *sigh* (you know i love you, dearie!) Well this is the original message "I lullabyed (spelling?) a tired girl in my group yesterday with "Morphee". I think I may have even pronounced the words somewhat right. And BTW, my girls (or so I call them) love "Johnny Saucep'n". Quote: "Sing the fast song again!" Unfortunately, I still can't get them to stop singing "Ooops... I Did It Again". God help me. Lauren (clinging on to her last bit of sanity)" It then changed into a discussion about people opinions on more popular bands and what makes people like them, then what Fruvous could do to be more popular...and well a whole bunch of comments on the subject of what makes a band "good" and how to deal with people who don't share your taste in music. It was semi-flamy, not too bad for a newsgroup, but a bit more than we're used to here at amm-f [1] :) I hope that answers your question! The couple of times I was there at night, the little one could not go to sleep unless she was holding on to my entire arm with my hand under her cheek. It was touching, but uncomfortable. And kind of boring to wait for her to *finally* fall asleep. Only to go into the living room to read, and hear her calling for me again. Though I suppose that was better than hours of trying to convince them to play something other than barbie.
