Horseshoes. *snipped for your viewing pleasure* I wouldn't call that song "on the edge" unless you were 'on the edge' of your seats trying to get out of there because they were 'sitting' and singing out of tune like at the Borders in-store in January 1999. I'm very surprised in all the write-ups about the workshops, that "Blow Wind Blow" wasn't even included. That is really folk fest material - or to even to do something special just for it like, I don't know, maybe "Gord's Gold" or a Lightfoot song at Mariposa (if they did do that, sorry, I wasn't there on Sunday, only Saturday's show - which would've been great in the "something old, something new, something 'borrowed'" workshop), Marion Fruvous, long version of GE&H, Cedric Fruvous (which was at a previous festival workshop I believe) etc. Something you don't see/hear all that often. I guess I'm longing for the old folk festivals like OFF or Heritage River from 1998. What a bunch of great memories. :) Maybe Fruvous needs to "sample" some other groups songs like Elwood did with "Sundown." Would that make them more "mainstream?" ;D Christine. *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* - --Diet soda? - --No thanks. FREAKED!!!! - --Fiddle Faddle? A couple months ago, before the C album was released, Tobey mentioned something about having "C" shirts or ballcaps. We're heading out to the Vermont show on Sunday and I was wondering if anyone saw a show were they had some of the new merchandise? Im hoping they do! I don't really have any Fruvous lyrics that I shudder when I heard (well besides nearly the whole of When She Talks). But for others.. Brittney Spears "Hit me baby one more time" now that seems like an incredibly masochistic lyric to me... And again by the same "artist" in a completely different song that just happens to have the same tune "Ooops I did it again", I think it needs no explaining.
