Only a few more days 'till the big Jess Klein, Kris Delmhorst, and Lori McKenna concert at Harvard. They moved to a larger venue after the event was already planned, because the Paradise got shut down, and this means there are still a lot of seats left! (If it were at the paradise I think it'd be close to sold out now). I figure there are plenty of Jess Klein fans here on ammf and you may not all heave heard about this show because of the short notice change of plans. I don't know if there are a lot of Kris Delmhorst fans here on ammf, but I very highly recommend her, she's one of my very favorites. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Jess913@aol.com To: undisclosed-recipients:; Date: Wed, 8 Mar 2000 17:59:59 EST Subject: Sanders Theater show announcement! The show originally scheduled as Jess Klein and Kris Delmhorst at The Paradise Rock Club has been changed to the following show at Sanders with Lori McKenna, which should be even better anyway. Last night The Paradise announced that it has been forced to close indefinitely (due to liquor violations or something). If you dont get out to that many shows and you wanna support independent women artists, this would be the one show to go to this spring, since its three great artists who i love, and its a huge venue that would be great for them to fill... - -jess :) *************************************************** Just Announced today!! Certainly, there are songs that we avid Fruheads have heard a dozen times, that most fans haven't heard twice, if at all. In some sense, I'm sure they'd like to have at least some of these songs documented. And, I'm sure there will be some brand-spanking new stuff that the Lads whip up (not out!) for C. I personally would love to hear some live banter or improv on C, because some of their improv stuff really kicks! - --Novac Brassgrl70 wrote in message news:20000324235002.02133.00002450@ng-ff1.aol.com... > I dono, but it seems like früvous would be a lot more spontaneous than just > throwning a bunch of random stuff on there. Now that I've got a work schedule that's (a little) more set, and have to buckle down a bit to get financial resources back in control [blah], I'm less able to travel around & catch whatever concert I feel like seeing. My new group-"following" experience is Maggi, Pierce and E.J., a great band who is as nice to their fans & concert-goers as Fruvous is. Unfortunately, I've only been able to see MPE 5 times since I was introduced to them opening at the Harrisburg show. My FruHabit is to attend mad shows and hear the songs so much, I learn the lyrics. [In fact, listening to the studio versions of songs, I'm constantly singing the live versions instead and saying to myself "I completely forgot that's how they did it on the album!"]. Well, seems to me now that I know very few of MPE's lyrics due to the fact that I'm used to relying on live shows to learn lyrics. *sigh* Is this a good thing, or a bad thing? The world will probably learn the answer to "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie-Pop" first... - --Novac, it's early in the morning, and I've got time on my hands... ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Mar 2000 13:20:23 GMT From: "Angela Anuszewski" Subject: RE: Old People at Concerts Yeah, wasn't that incredibly rude? Seeing how this show coincides with my spring break and everything, I've been contemplating whether to go to this show; being under 16, though, it requires me dragging along my parents (or finding some willing over-16 person in my area to take me... read: older siblings ) So, question: I know the show doesn't have reserved seating (I think), but their website gives no clue as to whether this is a fully standing venue, whether it's like a regular theater, and just with a bar, or whether the only seated areas are back by the bar... my mom and dad have back/neck problems, so standing up for long periods of time (as well as sitting, but we can overlook that) can be highly uncomfortable for them.... Any info that can shed light on my question will be greatly appreciated! Seeing as how I'm facing a time crunch with My Fair Lady productions, an e-mail to tigger246@hotmail.com would be even more appreciated... thanks in advance, ~truztno1 ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Mar 2000 18:37:15 GMT From: Melanie Subject: Re: did anyone else get this?
