I don't even want to get in the middle of this - but let me tell you, this makes me not want to read the NG anymore (not that anything relevant has been posted in the last year anyway - this NG has changed completely since I started reading it in September 1997). First I wanted to thank the ppl for posting pictures from the Con and concerts for ppl who were unable to attend. (yup I was one of those *g* but do you see me whining about it on here?) Anyone else that has pictures from the con and/or concerts please post the URL since that is on topic to what this NG is supposed to be about. Put it in the subject line so we can sift through this garbage better. But, OTOH, I have a problem with the word "groupie" since it's been used in a bunch of posts that I skimmed. In the dream everyone was sort of, you know, agitated but no one was really upset. I just started crying and hyperventilating... whispering Tobey... Tobey's dead? He's dead? No... I am very, very glad I missed the beginning of this little thing. If this war started over opinions of cutting in line, I'll erase one of the things I did Saturday night from my FrüCon 3 journal. As for this clique business, does it really matter? I know I'm one of the most awkward chyx around, and when I find people who actually like to hang around me, I milk every opportunity. That may give everyone the right to yell at me for secluding myself stage Dave two out of the three nights I could make it to Lee's. I just wanted to stay with the other stage-Davers, because that's where the memories came from last year, and that's where the action was for me [1]. FrüCon 3 was probably the best time I'd had in my life. I don't remember when I laughed so hard, or when I was surrounded by so many friends. For quite a few months before last weekend I had been going through bouts of confusion and what's probably best described as an indentity crisis, and wondered if I'd ever sort any of it out. The revelation came with four days of soaking up Toronto atmosphere and letting all inhibitions fly Friday and Saturday nights [2] as I gave into the music and the welcoming hugs of people I truly love. Never was I so happy, and never did I know before that I was born to live that way. As this post turns into "Neek's post-FrüCon sentimentality 2000." I think the original point was that YES, many of us will DIE if there's no FrüCon 4. ;) Otherwise we'll have to arrange that FrüCon 3.5. In June. In Colorado. *big grin* BTW, Lori, how'd you know? Please let me tell you why after getting there early this fruhead did not just walk in. I've been to too may shows to count and after that amount of time i a fully aware of how the band feels about fans being there for sound check and relly do not feel that i should disreguard their feeling. They give us wonderful shows is a bit of privacy before to much to ask ? Some of us went in last year for drinks before one of the shows -thinking as you did that it's a public establishment and were asked by Tobey to finish our drinks and leave for sound check. This year we circumvented being asked since we knew the band wouldn't want us there and stayed out side. If every one did at you did don't you think we all would have been asked to leave? Secondly _ I like meeting fans and the best way to do this either before or after shows . so that I don't disturb folks during the shows . I've met some wonderful people in line and yes, I like to be Stage Dave/Mike front row so I get there early instead of taking other roots to the front, it's common curtesy . if people talk to folks in the front of the line and cut ,yes that's wrong ,however ,we did save several spaces for folks that went for food .hot drinks ect. - how do you know the folks you saw in line weren't those people - just a thought. I'm sorry if Fruheadsmade your friend leave - that's not what should be happening either - I think evryone should be able to enjoy the show if that's not what's happening ,I am very sorry . I think that there has been enough said on all sides and I hope that all involved will stop and think that this is an open forum where many people have no idea as to what happened ,even those of us who where there need to step back and ask if all this is worth anger that has been caused. just my two cents andi andrzejewski ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Feb 2000 18:51:28 GMT From: "Myla Fantastik" Subject: help how do you cancel a subscription to ammf? - -myla ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: 27 Feb 2000 21:30:52 GMT From: leaben@aol.comBender (Leah Bender) Subject: re: fingers everywhere! >and how neither compares to the Halloween Ghost Peeps ...
