So, anyway, simeean (my lovely sister) comes to see the show and yells at me b/c I havent been reading. She tells me someone started talking about the letter people. So, I check things out. OVER 400 POSTS!!!! EGADS! So here, for you all, are the random thoughts from Sooozieee's brain as she read through everything: Ahhh, Pinwheel. I remember that show. It confused me. And I remember watching Kid's Writes, and YCDTOTV, and Today's Special, and Dangermouse (no one mentioned the other cartoon during that show, BANANAMAN... I liked that one better).... and I could go on. But right now, I won't. Letter people were cool. All I really remember is Ms. E. Eh Eh Exercise. I wouldnt know how to spell today if it weren't for them. Sings loudly: "This is the thread that never ends.... it just goes on and on my friend...." Square One was another one of those shows that made me want to learn. I loved it. Because of Mathnet, I became obsessed with Fibonacci (I agree, that was one of the best episodes)... and just two days ago, I was driving my friend Matt back to campus as he was talking about doing his senior research project on Fibonacci, I started screaming "one, one, two, three... FIVE, EUREKA!" That was fun. Sings some more: "...some people started posting here not knowing what it was, and they'll continue posting here forever just because..." I still faithfully watch Wishbone. There are still some fun kids' shows to watch. I happen to quite enjoy Wishbone and Arthur, and Blue's Clues makes me giggle. UHF is a pretty funny movie. I enjoyed "Conan the Librarian." I think my friends and I are going to watch it sometime next week. Damn, my legs hurt. All that dancing tonight just about killed me. Ah well, one more performance to go. Hey, if anyone is in the vicinity of Selinsgrove, PA... come see us tomorrow night at Susquehanna University.... *grin* we're pretty darn good. Sings some more: "....This is the thread that never ends...." Okay, I think I'm done. For now. - -Sooozieee, One of Joseph's evil Brother-Girls. ps- not done yet.... to actually return to a sort of on topic post.... for the show, everyone in the cast had to buy white tennis shoes and paint something on them to make them colorful... All I recall is the "very special episode" of Punky Brewster that dealt with the topic. OJ Verdict: I was a senior in High School. Ther verdict came in during my free period, and so I was locked in the little closet of a room that served as a yearbook office. I was working on a layout, with the radio on. Then I heard people tearing down the halls shouting "not guilty!" I also remember where I was for the SECOND verdict: the civil suit... I was actually working at the college radio station, It was during my shift that the verdict came in, so I was checking the AP wire every 5 minutes to see if it was announced yet. I was the one who got to announce it over the air. of course, that one didnt recieve all the thunder the first one had, so no one really cared. Fruvous: First show, New Year's Day, 1999. Poor little me was still 20, so I had to go to the early Dan Bern show at the Bottom Line. We barely got there in time to see Fruvous. I think we heard 2 songs. I knew I had to hear more. :) And I did. ------------------------------ Date: 29 Jan 2000 06:55:47 GMT From: fruvousgirl@aol.comical (Angela) Subject: Re: Partially OT: Newbie says hello Hi Liddy! Thanks to everyone who helped us ring in the New Year in Weston, WV! The Recipe moves onward and upward in 2000! The band is busy writing and rehearsing new material that will debut at the first shows of the Winter 2000 Tour. Last year's winter break provided time to develop several new tunes that debuted in the early part of 1999. The only difference this year is that the longer break has spawned EVEN MORE songs than the last! Much of the new material can be expected on a forthcoming studio album to be recorded in the Spring. Come on out to a show for a preview! To hold you over until the new album, Relix Records will be releasing a compilation recorded at 1999's Gathering on the Mountain. The Recipe will be included on the CD as well as many of the other artists who performed that weekend. Details will be announced soon! - - For additional news and 1999 highlights visit the News page of therecipe.com - - *Merchandise Update* We are currently SOLD-OUT of all t-shirts. More will be delivered in the near future. We are also currently sold-out of copies of The Recipe's debut CD "Love Marble Hoe-Down."
