I'm quite happy with my 5 channels and I intend to stay that way :-). We also *heart attack* have only 1 tv! There has got to be someone out there who doesn't pay 30 bucks a month for an over-hyped advertising medium... I mean, haven't "Bittersweet" and "Stuck in the 90s" taught us anything about commercialism and the mass media? Not that I hate tv or anything, nor do I mind people talking about it... I'm an X-Files fan, to tell the truth... but I just have these memories of hours of wasted time at a day care center, where all we did was watch tv, and my neighbors, who's children are the product of cable tv as never-ending background noise--quiet snobs who don't give a bleep about actual reality unless it's presented like "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" I have spent the last 4 or so hours with a piece of paper, pen, calculater and thermodynamics. randomly disperced within this time was my squacking things like "if the devil were to ever speek...he'd speek in thermodynamics formulas" or "i wish i knew where james joul was buerried,so i could go there and spit on his grave." so I gave up, whined to my mother and my exchange student (her name is guenia and she just got here from chile)...a pause...then i said "hey, you guys want to hear a physics song?"...entropy...make my day... also today i saw a chinese restauraunt calle d "jian"...it's in douglaston (i think) queens, NY.
