This afternoon had West Coast Live on the radio (hit or miss in terms of quality, but the lads have been on and quite entertaining, so I always try to tune in) and today they were giving away smoked salmon to the best musical artists and writers who had appeared over the last year. (Not sure how folks got chosen to be honored) and Moxy Fruvous from Toronto won one of the salmon. Although Sedge said they couldn't find the lads, so I think someone else may have takent their salmon home with them. I wasn't paying THAT close of attention, I could be wrong. It's funny the first 20 times or so you listen to it, then it starts to get really old. At the end of the album would be great though. If they were to release one this year (unrealistic, I think, and highly unlikely) I think it would look something like this (almost a live version of Thornhill, really): Sahara Half as Much Laika Too Careful (banter/improv) (Boss Intro) I Love My Boss (Pisco intro) Pisco Bandito (more banter) Spiderman You Will Go to the Moon The Present Tense Tureen (Disco B-Ville intro) Disco Bargainville (even more banter) River Valley Get in the Car Your New Boyfriend (more banter) Darlington Darling Splatter Splatter (with BJ intro) (IWHO Intro) I Will Hold On My Poor Generation (Thank you) so basically, the live show has changed enough since Live Noise that they could put out another live album with no repeats, but... I'm not sure how well something like I Will Hold On would translate to a live CD, though... it would be in there pretty much because it's a staple of the live show. then again, that's not necessarily the live album I'd *like* to see, but it would be the most likely if they were to work on it now... - -- lawrence solomon * http://www.fruhead.com/users/zaph * zaph@fruhead.com "You knew it was true, when I held you, there were no secrets.
