Maybe it's cos I've only been to 2 shows, and it can be intimidating seeing all these Fruheads who have known each other for ages standing around in big groups. The 3 or 4 Fruheads I've met in real life so far have been really nice, though, and I've been fortunate enough to have two great Frutripping experiences as well. It's probably just a silly shyness thing that I have to get over, and I'm sure I'll get better at it as I go to more shows. Please don't take offense. I wasn't referring to any specific situation or person. I was just commenting on the fact that some fans (in the most general of terms--not inclusive of Fruheads) take any attention from their object of affection to mean more than it actually does, and as a result, have unrealistic fantasies about their importance in the idol's life. That sounds like a lot more fun than the sugarbush I helped out with one year. I used to work at a Native American educational organization called Migizi Communications (http://migizi.org) and we had an annual sugarbush where we took inner-city Native kids out to the woods to collect maple syrup as Native Americans have done for centuries. It was *very* bare-bones, and quite cold. No dancing or skiing. Just a lot of wood chopping and stirring. The syrup was great, though, and the kids had a great time!!!
