But hey, that's not your fault. :) Well, I met a lot of people in the #moxyfruvous IRC channel. Then when concerts would come up to which I'd be going, I'd ask any channel people if they'd be there, and meet those that were. - --Adam adamh@javanet.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Nov 1999 00:52:59 GMT From: "Adam Hartfield" Subject: Re: Least Favorite Song? > Anyway, I was wondering if there were people out there with least favorite > songs. Then I stopped wincing internally every time they played it and after a few more shows, actually began to appreciate its groove. Now, after the introduction of the disco version, I can actually say I like the song and appreciate it to the point where I don't skip over it on the album any more. And I love the disco version. - --Adam adamh@javanet.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Nov 1999 01:31:20 GMT From: "Saphira Cat" Subject: Re: Just a quick little thing >To: ammf@fruvous.com >From: >Subject: Re: Just a quick little thing >Date: Sat, 27 Nov 1999 23:19:20 GMT > >I was inspired by Saph's gif so I decided to make my own. In article <0.676e68de.25716d0f@aol.com>, Spin0za1@aol.com says... > Like this past week I brought my sister to her first concert at the Keswick ... > and she's the one who always tells me to sit down and shut up. Always. In any > situation when I say anything. I'm afraid to speak when she's around because > I'll get elbowed and yelled at. Wow, someone else has a sister like that too. I've got two of them. Whenever I start getting homesick (and it happens a lot), I just remind myself that at least I hear "Shut UP you're emBARRassing me!" a lot less often from the total strangers who live around here. > At Früvous concerts I > sing and I dance and I sometimes make an ass of myself and feel awful > later... but for that moment I'm free. I've often thought that there's no better feeling than knowing you're not just a spectator at a show but a participant, surrounded by others who understand and feel the same way, not having to explain yourself. And there's no worse feeling than coming down after a show, wondering if you've committed a horrible faux pas or overstepped some unspoken boundary. But then you start looking forward to the next show and anticipating the euphoria again, and so on...but I'm sure I'm sharing too much here. I wish I could assure you that the terror goes away with time...maybe it does, and I'm just still waiting. I hope so, anyway. In the meantime, knowing there are those few places we can go and be alive makes everything in between a lot more bearable. > I love the fact > that I made a doodle that they seemed to appreciate Couldn't have said that better myself. > Moxy doesn't owe me anything. > They've kept me breathing without even knowing it... I think a lot of us have stories we could tell like that (don't worry; I'll save mine for another time & place). We're not deluding ourselves into believing they have each of us in mind personally when they give us what we most need to hear. But I like to think that they do appreciate getting our feedback and knowing that what they do, for a living and for the love of their work, has made a difference in so many lives. k@ - -- "Don't be ashamed to say what you are not ashamed to think." - Michel de Montaigne ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Nov 1999 03:30:17 GMT From: "Myla Fantastik" Subject: Re: least favorite song My least fav. song would have to be Raja.
