I recently went to the show in my home town of Vancouver, bc. IT wasn't what I expected. The show was just ok. I went to see them the first time they came here, and they were far better. They didn't get warmed up until the end. Another disapointment was that they sounded just like live noise. They only difference being the new stuff. Anyways, they were good, and I will see them again. I just think they need to liven up a little. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Oct 1999 16:51:24 -0400 From: "Mark Lion" Subject: Re: early morning rain mp3? BBN/GTEi changed their DNS scheme for news services, and I somehow missed noticing the announcement they sent to news contacts about it. When the change actually happened, I was off to New York for the weekend, so I didn't realize that our news feed was dead until I got back today. I made the changes to our configuration and our news feed is working again. Some of the articles from the weekend will get through to the mailing list, delayed, but there are probably some that have already expired at BBN and won't get to the list. Sorry about that. All articles posted through the email gateway should still be around and propogate out to the world now. -- Cos (Ofer Inbar) -- cos@polyamory.org cos@wbrs.org "I am convinced that He [God] does not play dice." -- Albert Einstein "But he [Einstein] was wrong. I wonder, though, if maybe God came up with a character like Einstein in some cosmic high-stakes game of jacks or marbles, à la the end of _Men In Black_, which I've always thought is one of the weirdest sequences to hit the big-sreen. Other, lesser beings, were betting like galaxies and stuff in trade for Einstein. Riiiight.... Something romantic about it. umm, it's romantic IF you don't mind not sleeping for an interminable period of time. Or if you can sleep like a log even when it feels like your world is shaking apart. Or if you have easy access to, and no qualms over taking, sleeping pills. If these don't apply to you, however, trust me -- by the time you get to TO you *will* be wiped out. And by the time you survive the cold, sleepless, walk-your-legs-off and chat-yourself-voiceless FruCon experience -- especially if, as in the past, there are concerts involved -- you will seriously consider taking a job at Pizza Pizza, and checking in as a long-term tenant at the youth hostel, rather than ever having to contemplate the same ride in reverse. - -- Lori, who learned, on a train, that she sleeps west.
