The way I decide what show's I want to trade for is usually to check the setlists, There are certain songs that are pretty frequently played and then there are others that are not, then there are songs that I just adore live (MPG/Poor Napoleon/ indy/ car...) Also depending on the media you are trading for. If you are trading CD's then almost always the sound quality of the recording isn't that important, but with tapes you want to make sure that you get nothing worse than a B- quality tape (listenable but the hissing and crowd interference can get annoying). All in All I suggest to go to www.fruvous.com and find the reviews posted on your choices of trades. And if you would like to do a trade with me, I will gladly set you up with what I feel are my best CD's/Tapes. The only uncertainty is the reaction of the love interest, whether they are unused to this kind of attention<< OK, so here's an idea that's been kinda bouncing around in my head of late, in keeping with the whole idea of the "concept album" that has been tossed out here before: Now I know that they are two very different songs, but I had the thought that IWHO and Sad Girl could be about the same person-- about how 2 different people with 2 very different outlooks and perspectives react to the same girl. The person in Sad Girl sees the act, sees the absurdity of a facade of depression. But the person from IWHO is in a similar spot, emotionally, so he latches onto it. He wants to take this Sad Girls' emotional wounds and heal them, embrace them. Kinda like a codependency thing. *Because* she's so emotionally frail, he thinks that he can be an important figuire in her life, and wants the kind of relationship that can only truly be had with someone who lives her life emotionally on the fringes. But, as part of her role as the sad girl, she can't let him heal her. Because letting him in and allowing the relationship to happen just might make her happy. Hence, whenever they begin to get too close, she "holds off." This process keeps this poor guy emotionally bouncing from highs to lows, which appeals to him. Hence the obsession. I dunno-- just a thought ;-) ~jen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Nobody likes you when you're 23"-- Blink 182 "Do you know that you are very strong?"-- Grover "Measure your life in love."--Rent ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Sep 1999 13:10:15 GMT From: CLeast18@aol.com Subject: fox thing does anybody have any info about the fox thing in the morning tomorrow? ~Michala ------------------------------ Date: 12 Sep 1999 13:48:22 GMT From: Josh Woodward Subject: Re: Tape Trading question Raenfaerie@aol.com wrote: : I have been checking out several tape trading/bootleg pages run by MF fans, : but I'm not sure which concerts are better than others.
