Now I get to plug one of my favorite sites, the amm-f archive at Works super if you have the vaguest idea when something was posted, because it archives all the posts from the email gateway. Much quicker and easier than searching deja. I think Ellen posted this piece around Aug 10, when Thornhill was first released. - -- Lori the research nerd :P Lori@fruhead.com ~^~^~^ ~~ ~^~ ^~^~^~^~ ^~^ ~^~^~^~^~ ~^~^~^~ ^~^~^~ ^~^~^~^~~~ My Strange and Wonderful World: http://members.aol.com/srm9988n/index.html The spiffy amm-f FAQ: http://www.fruvous.com/news/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: 23 Aug 1999 03:56:41 GMT From: zardsnod@aol.com (ZardSnod) Subject: Re: C Album SUGGESTIONS (was Re: C Album Predictions . . .) Okay, having been spurred by AJ and Chrissy (my fellow 80's dancers!), here are my picks for a C album: Hockey Night In Canada (having heard a rousing rendition at the Birchmere a couple years ago, I can only hope) Pisco Killer Tents (I've been sort of suspecting that that's why they closed with it on main stage - to get a good copy of it w/lyrics intact!) Pork Tenderloin (oh please oh please oh please oh please!!!) Blow Wind Blow (but I doubt it will go on, since it's so much impromptu - unless there's a particularly inspired version out there. Dare I suggest the Newport version of many moons ago, where they said that something was a word for "no more ****ing rain"?!) Marion Fruvous (I so much think that this is a necessity, and so much fun) Cross Border Shopping America's Favorite Game (so that I could finally hear it) Girl From Ipanema - that wonderful 1/3 Persian, 1/3 Portugese, 1/3 English version from NoHo... I'd love to have La Complainte, but I think it's too touching (and too French) for them to put it on a "hilarity and arcana" type disc... :-( - -Zard From a contest in the Wash.
