When you find someone who has the show taped, and you don't have anything to offer in a trade, set up a b&p deal. B&P is when you send/give the person the blank tape or tapes on which the show you're requesting is dubbed, then sent back to you and you include the postage required for them to be sent back to you. Jack ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 11 Aug 1999 16:30:03 GMT From: jporcell@us.ibm.com Subject: The conspiracy revealed Actually, what we see on stage when we attend Moxy Fruvous concerts is simply the intrusion into our universe of pan-dimensional beings of a higher order. Because of the nature of their universe, in as much as it occupies a four-dimensional space, what we see as four entities is the representation of three of these beings. What amazes me is how the technology that they employ allows interaction with each of these simulations independent of each other, as each of the four simulations is made up of attributes of the three beings from this higher plane. This also explains why the banjo is untunable, and this obsession with the Bytor entity, which is in fact the Uber-Fruvous which guides their movements in our universe. That will be $29.99. There's going to be *pudding* going Splatter Splatter messin' up the place?! make mine butterscotch please. Seriously, I just gave Thornhill its third listen-through and some Opinions are forming in my little brain. So far, here are the surprises to me: 1) When She Talks -- I like the studio version better than live, I think possibly because it seems to fit better with the mood of the CD than with most setlists. Just a thought. 2) Earthquakes -- WOW! *This* could become my favorite song on the album -- hard to tell at this early juncture. 3) Sad Girl -- has the opposite effect of When She Talks -- I like it better live, even though I can hardly *remember* it live. Yeah it's been awhile. 4) Half as Much, 2 Careful, MPG -- all of these have *single* written all over them, at least to my ears. 5) Someone was discussing Dave's future as a lounge singer (positive sense not lizard sense) -- um, yes, there *is* enormous potential there, as Hate Letter proves. 6) The background chatter amuses me at the moment. I'll see what I think after 50 or so listens -- but right now it's adding to the very-talented-kids-hanging-in-the-rec-room-getting-stoned-and-playing feel of the disc for me. If this goofing around were associated with the more serious songs it would be different, but it's well located, and I like the playful feel it lends. Without it this CD would feel much more straightforward -- with it it's loopy enough to feel like Früvous. 7) Thornhill hasn't yet passed Wood on my personal-fave assessment, but it's gaining.
