I grew up with both - Spanish/English on the American channel and French/English on the Canadian one. Once when we were teenagers, a friend of my sister's from Winnipeg came to visit for the weekend, and she was shocked to hear Sesame Street in Spanish. I do miss those channels we got during my formative years - "Canada" and "the 1970s" occupy much of the same space in my brain. k@ - ---------------------------------------------------- "When someone says that they can't draw a straight line, it's a comment that belittles the act of drawing. After yesterday's excited Moxy Fruvous day, I have now entered a state of depression. I just got an email from my friend, Vickie (Moxy Fruvous traveling companion and good friend), saying that she doesn't know if she can make the Philadelphia Folk Fest. If she doesn't go, I am not going by myself. That will require my driving a total of 10 hours by myself, going to a concert alone in a place that I have never been (even though my aunt and uncle live 15 min away), and spending $84 for only myself to go to this concert. I really don't know what to do at this point. I'd offer my tickets to anyone who wants to buy them from me, but y'all have probably already bought some (by the way, I got reserved tickets as well)...and it's not definite that she can't make it. What do I do???? Jian always wears tight shirts, doesn't he? And, it was a Britney Spears shirt wasn't it? Britney is female, right? So, how does this make Jian gay? He wore a shirt with a female on it. Um, if I wear a shirt with a male on it, does it make me lesbian?? I can understand if he wore the I Love Canadian Men shirt, but he wasn't. My favs during childhood were Sesame Street in English (New Jersey all the way!), Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, and the Muppets. Now, I love Teletubbies and Blues Clues! And, yes, if I ever wake up early enough at school, you do hear Sesame Street coming from behind my door. :-) Amy They took off their shoes and bared their SOULS. ~Moxy Fruvous, "Fly" ------------------------------ Date: 06 Aug 1999 03:36:55 GMT From: gordonlew@aol.com (GordonLew) Subject: What one singer/band would you recommend to Fruheads If you were to recommend one band or singer to Fruheads who would it be.
