There is a list of songs for which videos ahve been make on the Discography page of Fruvous.com. A video with all of the Fruvous videos was the prize for 12 stamps on the old Fruhead Card (NOT the Frumiles Card which replaced the Fruhead card) so some of the older fans have the video collection. They were played on MuchMusic in the beginning to a point, but then stopped abruptly about the time, well, everything stopped abruptly after Bargainville *grin* There are also Fruvous Science Videos where you can see the lads in farmer gear, stuffy pseudo-brit science gear and other duds you don't normally see. This is where Entropy from the B-album is from and Photosynthesis which they played at Frucon I. Dan Jablonski, master of the metal flying birds, posted a long time about how to order these. Do a Dejanews search and maybe something will turn up. You may also want to email Jude and ask if there are any plans to release the videos as merch. I'm sure if enough people ask they'd at least consider it, unless they don't want the Down from Above video being seen by anyone else ever again... - Chad ------------------------------ Date: 30 Jul 1999 03:08:01 GMT From: srm9988n@aol.composter (Lori Martin) Subject: Re: OT: Signature files (was Re: OC beach idea) chad sigged himself: >chad >who might be medium chad, now. yeah! where's our new short Chad? Any place with a yummy selection of homebrew and that fantabulous crab dip (yes, I'd consider going there JUST for the dip, without even a show), cries out to be patronized. To me, it's a small bit of a replacement for the old Birchmere (beyond the fact that it's got the B'mere's old sound equipment!). - -Zard From a contest in the Wash. No, I don't think it was the actual theme, but it was very reminiscent of it. There were definite echoes of Rawhide when they harmonized "Be-WAAAARE....," so for lack of a better description, I call it Rawhide-ish. - -- Trace trace@frumail.org "Part of a new, emerging feminist movement." ~Jian commenting on his Brittany Spears t-shirt: 7/24/99 Crisis, Get Help ~Anagram of "The Spice Girls" ------------------------------ Date: 30 Jul 1999 03:43:07 GMT From: zardsnod@aol.com (ZardSnod) Subject: Re: FRFF: An unfourtnate early review >Thankfully, the FRFF spirit of friendliness overwhelmed whatever thoughts >there >were about rushing the stage for Ani. Can I just say how happy I am that that spirit truly did prevail, as opposed to the terrible things I've been reading about in the paper that happened at Woodstock - assault, vandalism, theft, fires, rape... Ugh! Meanwhile, everyone at FRFF left things sitting out all day and no one ever bothered them (that I was aware of), and other than additional noise and exuberance (and overcrowding - I hope they do limit entry next year), it was the same great FRFF I've come to know and love. The announcers kept saying "the true spirit of Woodstock [oops! I did a typo and wrote "Weedstock"!] is HERE". Amen, brother! I did have to explain to my folks that it was a family atmosphere over and over again... (despite what Joe Murphy saw as he came down that middle aisle during 3 Fine Daughters! *laugh*). - -Zard From a contest in the Wash. I wouldn't actually ask them to do that, but it was a nice, satisfying thought. That kind of thing could also wreck the guestlist priviledges. I'd like to see and support the bands, not get them into trouble. In the end, it will come down to whether or not I will consent to giving the Troc one more chance in order to see GBS/EFO.
