If I were going to compare it to any Beatle's writing it would have to be George's, but even that's a stretch for me. As for Beatlesque, that is one of the things I adore about Früvous -- at their best, in certain genres, they seem to *out-Beatle* the Beatles. :) Medicine Show, Get in the Car, Your New Boyfriend, Fell in Love, IWHO, Organ Grinder, even Nuits de Reve -- sure. But *NOT* Sad Girl. It would be a great thing if a "breakthrough album" DIDN'T have to rely on mainstream songs or an annoyingly catchy hook (ex: One Week). I think that's what they're trying here -- keeping the distinctive Früvous themes and sound, but polishing, and ordering the finished product to the point that its presentation will appeal to the mainstream market as well as those who are already sold on it.
