No correct answers here, just interpretations, but I think it's another Jian song about Obsession. I hear it as someone standing quietly trying to figure out what the heck is going on in their life while the two little figures sit on their shoulders like in the cartoons. One is saying "No! Don't go back. What happened was for the best" while the other is arguing "But it was sooooo good. So good. We should go back for a bit. It won't hurt". If Raja was so hung up on the other person, they shouldn't have agreed to part ways. And now, still severely hung up, his heart bleeds over what is lost. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 07 Jul 1999 16:18:04 -0500 From: Chad Maloney Subject: Re: We are getting very picky these days. Glad you did -- one of the things that goes through my mind when these things come up periodically is, how would a newbie perceive this kind of argument and navel-gazing? The problem with the workings of a large group of people is that it is a subjective perception of each person within the group -- and each person's subjective reality is based on further subjective readings -- including things like mood and comfort level on a given day. So it's hard sometimes to see the big picture, especially when we're all IN it. :) My problem is, I can't disagree with the observations anyone who has posted on this has made -- I see ALL their points. I'm just trying to make some sense of what seems like a lot of arguing and in-the-trenches thinking ON THE NEWSGROUP lately. Interactions at shows are an entirely separate issue, and don't cause me nearly as much concern as the recent incivility online. - -- Lori, on the fence as usual *************** Problem is, you're ALL my people, and I want peace and harmony in the Land o' Lori :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 07 Jul 1999 19:11:01 -0700 From: Billy Subject: Re: The AMMF Profile CheesemonkeyGem wrote: > > -----------------The AMMF > Profile---------------------- > > >Profile for: Billy D'Ettorre > >Nickname/Alias//Secret Identity: The guy that likes all those weird bands > >Place you call home:Rochester NY (yup... another one) > ># of Frushows attended:7 so far plus 2 (at least) at Falcon Ridge in a couple weeks > __Favs...______________________________________________ > > >colour:Blue > >bands:BNL, Fruvous, Bruce Springsteen, Weird Al, The Beach Boys, Boxing Gandhis, Hothouse Flowers, Beatles, and about a zillion others > >fru-songs: I Will Hold On, GE&H, I Love My Boss, MBLABOA, Gulf War Song, It's Too Cold, Your New BoyFriend and on and on and on.... > >other song:Thunder Road (Springsteen), What A Good Boy (BNL), Warmth Of The Sun (Beach Boys), Zombie Jamboree (Rockapella) > >tv show:The Simpsons, MST3K, Frasier, Quantum Leap, SCTV, Cartoon Planet, Space Ghost > >movies:Waiting For Guffman (the funniest movie ever), Fear Of A Black Hat (the 2nd funniest movie ever), Planet Of The Apes, Enter The Dragon, This Is Spinal Tap, Sons Of The Desert (Laurel & Hardy), The Commitments, All of the Indiana Jones movies, Pulp Fiction > >actor: Samuel L.
