(Especially in the Ft. Erie area!) In the spirit of FRIENDship, I would ask (for your own safety) that you do not wear the stars jersey. I wouldn't be able to protect you if you did. Jen, if you did wear it though, you might be beat to a messy pulp by some crazed sabres fans, and _nobody_ would recognize you. So, for your own safety, I would suggest you wear something a little less... oh... defiant. Try a Flyers jersey. ;-) - -Paul CheesemonkeyGem wrote: > Alas, ft erie ISNT buffalo...hehehe and for SHEER > RECOGNIZING PURPOSES, i may be so inclined as to bring > with me said defenseless jersey, however to WEAR it or > not remains to be seen. Thanks for the welcome. I heard about those books a couple of years ago and was relieved that maybe my name will start having a more positive connotation. It always seemed like indeed a "stage name" of a more lascivious nature. I guess all generational names have that possibility, i.e. Tami, Brandi. But getting back to my original post, I think the reason I'm confused about all the repeats in the concerts is that Fruvous seems like an "all or nothing" band. Either you haven't really heard of them, except maybe King of Spain, or you own everything they've put out. If that's true, then some people are at a concert with very few expectations and some people are going to be at this concert and the one after that and the one a month later, etc. It seems like a win-win situation for the band's musical artistry and the fans to mix it up as much as possible. I guess I'm beating a dead horse so I'll stop. - -Amber ------------------------------ Date: 28 Jun 1999 03:23:11 GMT From: srm9988n@aol.composter (Lori Martin) Subject: Re: friendly behaviour Paul suggested oh-so-solicitously re the Cheesemonkey's Stars jersey: >So, for your >own safety, I would suggest you wear something a little less... oh... >defiant. > >Try a Flyers jersey. ;-) Oh, now THERE's an idea. - -- Lori, cringing at the thought of long-sleeved-anything in July in the northern hemisphere. I for one will not be heading south. Not that I don't want Thornhill ASAP, (after all, I put in a hold request at my local record store shortly after finding out about the original release date *note to self: go to record store to change release date *AGAIN* on order*) but at this point it's principle. I'm not the first one to say this, but.. if we want Früvous to gain more attention on the Canadian music scene, we have to do it at least partially by buying their albums here at home. Crossing the border boosts their sales, but it defeats the purpose of getting them attention here, and gives some credence to the sometimes-mentioned view that Canadian fans have abandoned them. There may not be as many as there were in Bargainville days, but we're here, we're vocal, and we're loyal. (Not to mention impatiently waiting for the Canadian tour.) Well put and i echo everything you said fervently. I would love to see more Canadian attention on fruvous again, and not the big one-hit wonder Baraginville attention that they received some time ago, but a general smattering of attention and respect that they deserve. I would love to be able to ask a Canadian if they heard of Moxy Fruvous and NOT receive a "oh, those king of spain people?" reply. We ARE here, we are vocal and extremely loyal, and I for one cant help but feel neglected and abandoned as a loyal Canadian fan. Now i guess i see what the guys themselves may have felt. Some are more impatiently awaiting that Canadian tour more than others! - -jen === Before you get in a fight with a person, walk 500 hundred miles in his shoes.
