I think I was just a little too spoiled in April...seeing them 4 times in one month and having tapes of 2 of the shows. Talk of the new album, seeing the ever-growing itinerary, plotting which shows I might actually get to make, receiving this awesome postcard (propped on my monitor as we speak). I MISS THE GUYS!!!! I know it's only been like 1.5 months since last I saw them, but I miss Tobey's bear hugs and the banter and the hugs and laughs and now I have this neat new postcard to get signed... maybe... Is it irrational for me to miss them like a college friend who graduates and leaves town? Anyway, the original captions I was working on for the postcard have fizzled into vague dreamlike thoughts, so I'll try for something quick (and probably not funny, but oh well): Set 1 Dave: Nam Yoh Ho Ren ge Kyo, Nam Yoh Ho Ren ge Kyo [1] Jian: If I stand here and smile and look cute... maybe someone will give me something to EAT!!! I'm starving! Mike: That one looks like a frog, and that cloud looks like a dragon and that one looks like... oh my... nevermind *blush* Murray: There is no spoon... There is no spoon [2] Set 2 Dave: Dammit... should I tell them that the paint's still wet? Nah... Jian: I'm just gonna stand here and smile...and pretend I'm _not_ sticking to the wall... Mike: Hey, I can see in their window... they're playing Nintendo! Murray: I'm a model, you know what I mean, and I do my little turn on the catwalk.. hmmm hmmm hmmmm There's more, but I guess I'm finally tired. Angie [1] From 'What's Love Got To Do With It,' Tina Turner begins practicing buddhism and it's the chant she uses. Our plans are still open for what to do after the show. I'm more concerned right now with figuring out how to get there. Tom works in Boulder, so he'll be going to the Fox straight from work and not coming home in between. I'm in school until 4:00. Doug will be here, staying at our house. My car (while now operational) is illegal to drive because of expired plates - I've already gotten one ticket for that and don't want to risk another. SO - I have to figure out a way to get myself and Doug to Boulder, preferably as early as possible. Is anyone available to give us a lift there? (Yo, Bridget! Sounds like you'll be taking off around the same time...) Either Doug can take the bus to meet me on campus (Auraria), or I could be picked up on campus and then we could swing by my place in Lakewood to get him. > Other than that... i have a request.
