When I was at an Italo Calvino [frucontent: Dave really seems to like him] conference in NYC a month and a half ago, a movie was shown there, titled "Palookaville," which was loosely based on one of Calvino's short stories, don't remember which. It's 7:30 am so no one can tell the difference!) And I really don't think that beer baths are the problem with organized sports. I've had more than my fair share - even accidentally given myself one or two. It's more the problem of people thinking that they're better than you and that you being in their hometown gives them the right to act like jerks. With that said, I'm buying a 24 so I can douse you all at FruConIII ;) (you're on *my* turf now...!) :) And what the heck is wrong with the Monkees? Now, i'm not complaining about that because honestly, it *is* about the music and not necessarily being able to drool at the lads feet (just trying to clear that up... i think some of you are still a bit confused *grin*). but what pissed me off was that these ganks got up there and started singing along so incredibly loudly that even after we asked them to try to keep it down just a bit so we could hear the actual music... they were all like "ya know... we paid just as much money to see them as you, we're gonna do what we want to enjoy ourselves" and then proceded to try to get the security guards to do something about my recording the show. I was so pissed off mostly because had i not spent the two months prior to that show working my ass off to get the under-21 crowd in there... but it was like... ugh have a little respect for the people around you. needless to say, i enjoyed myself thoroughly... and well... i will say that the "leper colony" in the end, was by far the rowdiest area but we all managed to enjoy ourselves that much more. :D take it easy, JOrdaN http://www2.netcom.com/~arnot/joda/bootlegs.html can we say....
