I'll leave the reviews for someone else, cause frankly I don't remember things in the kind of detail that everyone seems to. But, I'll say this. Overall, I enjoyed the show. But, I must say that the last song they did - I think it was an Elvis Costello song.. Isn't that what they said? - left something to be desired in my mind. I feel that a Fruvous show just doesn't have closure unless I get to hear The Drinking Song. (although, I've also been at shows where they closed with the Gulf War Song and Early Morning Rain). Anyway, I left there feeling a lack of closure. Luckily on my hour and forty five minute ride home I had a tape in the car which had Drinking Song, so eventually I got that closure. Anyway, I feel that I am rambling now. Did anyone else who was there have the same feeling? OK, so the real purpose of my post is to make a comment about T-shirts. Hence the subject line. So, It's been a while since I bought my last Frushirt - (I believe that I got it at Styleen's in 1997). So, I felt that it was time for a new one. So, when I went to get my frumiles card stamped, I inquired about sizes for the shirts. Well, the only shirts that they have in any size other that huge are the jersay, which is WAY out of my price range, and the baby T. Now, I think that the baby T is lovely, but since I already have a Baby T that says your new boyfiend, it seems silly to get another one that is so similar. I have to say that I was very dissappointed and went home Frushirtless. =( I want a new shirt that I can actually wear in public, not just to bed! When I asked why they didn't have smaller sizes, I was told that people usually buy the larger sizes. There's gotta be demand for smaller sizes (I'm not talking tiny here for goodness sake!). Anyone know who I could complain to about this? We need to stop disciminating against smaller Frufans! Well, It seems to me that if they're only going to have a couple sizes, the larger ones make sense. A smaller person can wear a larger shirt. The opposite doesn't work. GRUNGE IS DEAD i tell ya! (okay so not in our hearts but > yes, the style is gone). Okay, okay, I don't begrudge all you tinies the right to wear regular t- shirts (though why a woman would *choose* to wear a man-cut shirt when more fitting ones are available in her size is beyond me - those crewnecks feel like you're being strangled). Just for the sake of equity, let's have a few regular Frü-shirts available in Small and Medium, and I'm sure they'll get bought. But HEY! Shirt companies *do* make something like the baby-t style in larger women's sizes. How about some equity there, too? I don't wanna hear any groans either from anyone who fears seeing a big chyk in a tight little baby-t. When those shirts *fit*, they look good, and they're much more flattering (not to mention comfortable) than any neck-strangling, chest-squeezing, up-the-hip-riding men's t-shirts. Besides, we big chyx would also like the chance to proclaim our love for Canadian boys once in a while. k@ Of course as long as we're ranting about all this, why not bring up the question of when some new designs will be available as well? ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V3 #371 ********************************************
