Hey all :) I need help. (Shut up Colleen.) One of my classes this semester is Web Design. No, they wouldn't let me test out of it. My final project is to build an e-zine site. I know, eww. But after thinking about it, I want to do something for fruheads... more specifically, frutrippers! I know we've tossed this idea around before, but I'm willing to take on the actual design & coding work... can't promise that it will end up being at all worthwhile or useful, this is after all homework. But... PLEASE send me e-mail with any suggestions you have, anything you'd want to see on the site... etc. I want, among other things, to set up a resource-type section for people to post for rides, put their own artwork up, etc... Oh, and anyone who has a budgie or fru animation that they'd be willing to let me use, I'll be forever grateful and owe you huge amounts of good chocolate to boot! ____ \ /__ Caitlin Xantha Hazen \/ / caitlin@wayward-volvo.org \/ http://www.wayward-volvo.org/xanthe/ Xanthe on IRC ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 06 Apr 1999 17:40:07 -0400 From: Paul Mischler Subject: Weather for the RIT Show... Winamp (http://www.winamp.com) has a feature to do this. You will then of course need a CD-R drive, disc and the appropriate software (which should come bundled with the drive). Remember as well that an mp3 decompressed into a wav file will be around 10 to 12 times bigger than the original mp3. - -- MD ============================================= "If you read this sentence to the end you will be killed to death with big sticks." -Me, circa just now Paul Davis wrote in message news:370a64f8.0@193.218.160.7... >Can MPEG3 'ENCODED' audio files be burnt to a CD-R and then played on a >normal Hi-Fi CD player? > >If they can could you please let me know which programs I would need to >carry out this and where they can be found. Lizzie, the whole permission slip thing isn't that weird. I went to a Catholic high school here, which isn't all that different from a public high school. In fact, except for wearing a uniform, having to take religion and a morning prayer, it's pretty much exactly the same. (But mine was co-ed) And we still had to sign our lives away to bring a guest to a dance. And be in by a certain time, no exceptions... it really was a little bit militaristic. :) Veronica - -- *************************************************************************** "Never look at the trombones, | Veronica Gruneberg it only encourages them." | Dept. of Biology - Richard Strauss | Queen's University | Kingston, Ontario ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 07 Apr 1999 00:09:15 GMT From: nxlpew@Good_music.com Subject: Largest Selection Of Music. Some lucky Fruheads already have copies. I am willing to make more copies. Disclaimer: the tape is not of the entire broadcast, because I was stupefied by hearing the lads live on the radio and couldn't unglue myself to set up the tape in time.
