I didn't go but I did get to see the outfits. My friend Jen and her boyfriend decided to have some fun and not spend quite as much as some people. So they rented costumes - Jeff was a confederate soldier and Jen was a southern belle. *the* most gorgeous dress there and cost about half as much as anyone else's. So now i must buy an expensive > dress HAHA! I laugh at this one because I remember asking my date (aka girlfriend, now ex and to-be-forgotten) to go to the prom with me. Well, being the loving guy I am, one day as we *happened* to be at the mall, we stopped in to look at dresses. While she tried on one after another, I was having a blast seeing her get all dressed up in so many dresses! As she laughed some off and tried on others more than once, she narrowed her mind to just a few. I told her to pick one that she would be happy with, she did, and I proceeded to take the dress from her and pay for it. She was so incredibly delighted she had the dress she wanted, while I was happy I was able to make her happy in the process of shrinking my bank account so far. ...and then there was that semi-formal where I agreed to drive 4 couples and us around in my parents' large van. So once again being that loving guy I am, I secretly booked a limo for 10 people to pick us up and drive us around town and to the dance, and then the local coffee shop afterwards. She loved it so much, as did all the other young ladies. The guys were surprised when I refused their money, even though this one really took from the bank. So basically, there is no reason to my stories except to share the fun of my high school formals. Also, wanted to say hi to you fruchild, I met you briefly at the Ramada lobby at FruCon (I'm 'fonze', aka Tom). So have fun with the night, he will be please no matter what dress you were (as long as it is clean, I suppose). =) later, tom.
