Welcome to the fold. Yes Chad, I did in fact define "civilization" as a place showing a Keanu Reeves movie... Did I forget to mention in my guilty pleasures that I enjoy some of his movies (if the role isn't _too_ much of a stretch). I actually liked Speed, and his admittedly small role in Dangerous Liasons, Point Break... I just got back about 1/2 hour ago from seeing Matrix... for those who are curious and interested: Take a modern twist on Tron and Dark City, add martial arts visual effects from Blade and any Jackie Chan movie, and toss in some quirky one-liners and visual gags. Personally, I liked it... I loved the fight scenes and the special effects, and I didn't need to think (which is always nice after a day of teaching, haha). Hi everyone! Yay spring break! Now that I have time, I thought I'd post this, as there is a bit of Frucontent involved. My grandmother got us a subscription to "New Age" magazine, and I found this the other day: "Sleeping Directions" Northeast: If your head points northeast, it can make you very ambitious but can also create a more disturbed sleep. North: Sleeping with the top of your head pointing north promotes sound, healthy sleep. South: This is a good direction for someone who is involved in a lot of intellectual work, from writing or mathematics to studying for exams. Northwest: Pointing your head northwest can help you create a family. This is also the direction in which the head of a company should lay his or her head in order to receive more clarity and stronger organizational abilities. Southeast: Positioning your bed in a southeastern direction will help you absorb energy that is good for relationships and finances while you sleep. East: Sleeping with your head pointing east tends to give you more energy and makes it easier for you to wake up in the morning. It can also improve your career prospects and financial situation. West: Sleeping with the head pointing west is good for those who have retired, have been working too hard and are stressed, or are taking a sabbatical. It tends to give the sleeper a feeling of contentment. Southwest: If the head is pointing southwest, it can cause illness and is not generally recommended. Quite random, I know. But possibly offering insight into the meaning of Present Tense Tureen? love Lizzie ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 01 Apr 1999 04:13:22 GMT From: nafio@my-dejanews.com Subject: Re: Learning bass frukid@my-dejanews.com wrote: > If dave is the other white meat, would that make Jian the other dark meat?
