I'm sorry that you had a *bit* of a negative experience. Thankfully it didn't turn you off the music (that is what it's about, right?). Next time I see him I'll mention it to him. Mental note made to at least smack him! Counsel for the defence requesting adjournment until such time. S. Hi hello! They've banished me for a week in Endicott, NY... suburb of Binghamton... and I'm bored out of my wits (I'm really starting to hate hotel rooms and admire the 'Lads all the more... How do they do it??). Funny coupla things as I was driving out this way... I remember when I first started on the ng people were talking about the Arnot mall. Now, I don't know if its the same, but I passed by one near Elmira... which was cool. Then, I stop at a Tops Market in Sayre, PA (just across the state line) about 20 min or so out of Endicott and I had been listening to the Les Miserables London Cast recording. Well, I had _just_ finished the tape, went into the store... and I hear [Neil Diamond?] singing "I dreamed a dream" over the PA... freaky!!! Ok, what else... I haven't gotten ahold of either of my two RIT friends, so I don't know yet if they were able to get my tix today. From what I've read and from what I remember of RIT, they probably sold the tix first to students, then to staff and faculty, and later this week or next week they open it to the public. Or, more likely, they are not advertising outright that they are selling to the public. I mean, Clark Gym is about 1/3 the size of the Harro East, and Moxy just about packs that every Fall. (Generally the big spring concerts are in the ice rink... but the acoustics are atrocious... I saw the Indigo Girls there back in '94 and the sound sucked). Its funny, I was semi-converted because of one of the RIT vocal groups... but of the group I think only one or two had actually ever seen the guys live... meanwhile I went fanatical about it. They are all supposed to be at the show next Fri, so now they'll see what I've been raving about! Ok, I'm bored so I'm typing alot. I'll leave now. Have a nice evening. - --Angie, typing isn't much different from twiddling thumbs, if you think about it. :^) 30. Amused as in happy, or amused as in grumpy and distracted? Oh, he was quite happy, although a bit distracted the first time he caught sight of you and BDG. (I think one of the stage-dave guys gestured or something for him to look, as you're right, Alan couldn't see you from where he was standing -- but he leaned out to look several times with a big cracking-up grin on his face.) Didn't mean to make you all self-conscious, dearie -- I think it added immensely to GBS' enjoyment of their own show. And they really ought to get used to it -- they play folk fests after all; God knows there's going to be dancing. :) - -- Lori ******************************* Visit Lori's *newly-redecorated* strange and wonderful world! http://members.aol.com/srm9988n/index.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 31 Mar 1999 03:53:31 GMT From: Mindy J Munson Subject: Re: upping my convert count...
