I've seen Great Big Sea mentioned on here before, so I figured I'd inform the masses about their upcoming show on May 1. I've never heard them before, but hey, what better way to celebrate May Day than in Ann Arbor? Anyway, I must say that I'm quite pleased that I'll be able to see the band 3 times over my birthday weekend, and they're finally playing a gig on my birthday at a city I live by! So, here's an informal invitation to join me somewhere in Ann Arbor on the night of June 15th after the show. Yes, I know it's inconsistent to say "birthday weekend" when your birthday's on a Tuesday, but don't get on my case about it- it's been a LONG day.... I'm just happy to see new concert dates posted. Hope you're having a copacedic day, Ciao for now, Andrew PS- Think bad thoughts about Duke please- MSU needs to win the basketball game (no offense to any Duke alums or students out there...) - --------------------------- Andrew Newman Doctoral student, Teacher Education and Educational Policy Michigan State University newmana1@pilot.msu.edu "You get your PhD/ How happy you will be/ When you get a job at Wendy's..."
