NOHO version!!!!! For me this song loses a *LOT* of the emotion behind it in the full band version - in that form it's (almost) just another ballad. When it's just Mike and the guitar, it's the way it was intended... a song about the loneliness of being far away from people you love and not being able to do anything about it *sigh* Then again, in this I'm quite unashamedly biased, as I live 17hrs away from my family, and about the same distance (in another direction) from a guy I care a great deal about - so to say I can relate to the song is a bit of an understatement *g* (Of course, the fact that this is the only song to make me start crying (well, weeping maybe) before the whole title was announced is another matter entirely...) Since Skylarking there's been this tendency to name albums by lyrics on the previous album. Skylarking mentions "Orange and Lemon raincoats," Oranges and Lemons mentions "Nonsuch," and Nonsuch mentions "Apple Venus." I actually thought I was just imagining a connection on the first two, and was wondering if the new album would follow the pattern and I was completely shocked when it actually did. :) I don't know if any of the older albums have a similar pattern, I haven't looked enough.
