(ok, so that part was just my opinion.) it was a great big reunion for me; i've moved away from many of my climbing buddies, so i only ever see them at comps (and at the crags, when i head that far south to climb) these days. but also i just love the atmosphere at climbing comps; because climbers are considered freaks by most sane people, ;) we're a pretty tightly knit group, and chances are, you're likely to be cheering for several friends and making a few new ones at any given comp. it's hard to be cutthroat when you're cheering for *everyone*. it's definitely the most laid- back sporting event i've ever witnessed. the people who do get pissy and cutthroat are usually the parents-- you've heard of soccer moms? make room for climbing moms. i'd say about 85% of the comp went smoothly, which is not bad, i guess. i won't bore you with my obsessing over the things that did go wrong. ;) i confess that i did think of you guys once, on friday evening during a lull in registration. i figured people would probably have been milling around waiting for the opening band to start; it was around 8:30 or so. i was briefly envious, but it didn't last long as i had to go and find someone's registration number. i am glad that if i had to miss a big fruweekend, it was for something *really* cool. i hope y'all had fun, and i'm looking forward to the reviews. peace, ellen ********************************************************************* Requesting some enlightenment.... ********************************************************************* - -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own ------------------------------ Date: 22 Feb 1999 17:44:43 GMT From: kevin@sahara.research-inc.com () Subject: Re: Moxy Fruvous Purity Test (version 0.1)[WORK IN PROGRESS] On Tue, 16 Feb 1999 13:22:50 -0800, Jenn Griffee wrote: >I hate wasting bandwidth with this kind of message, but could someone do me a huge >favor and repost the test?
