I got into a slight fender-bender in the parking lot at work the other day (minimal damage to the other car, none to mine). So today I was on the phone with my insurance company, and the agent was asking me questions for the claim. "License plate number?" "YCBTC." "Y...C...?" "YCBTC. As in, 'You can't be too careful.'" I suppose I should just feel good about having given that insurance agent his laugh for the day. :P k@ - -- "Don't be ashamed to say what you are not ashamed to think." - Michel de Montaigne ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Dec 1999 00:18:47 -0500 From: "Kris DeHond" Subject: Re: Rudeness Towards Moxy!!!! I've been waiting for a thread like this for awhile. Being a high school student and a Fruhead can sometimes clash. Take my gym class for example: there is a group of kids (freshmen) who whenever they see me, or any of my friends they know like Fruvous, insist on telling us how much Moxy Fruvous sucks. Anyway, it doesn't really bother me, I don't care a bit about what they think, but they keep saying it for the next 40 minutes. They may come up to one of us, or just yell from across the room, but I bet they get it in a good 30 times a period. The funny thing is they came up with something: "Once I was the King of Spain. Then I got shot in the head. Cause I suck." They actually sing it! Well, only one of them does that, but its still makes me laugh. I guess I can't complain. About 20 people or more from our school made it to the show, a decent turnout. That and a Fruvous song is played about once a month before homeroom, as well as a whole week in September. If you can make sence of this gibberish, I commend you! Kris.. I think I just (gasp) forget about it when it comes to, "What shall I put in the CD player today?" To really date myself, during my first couple years at college, one of my jobs was to be THE person for the entire campus who made Xerox copies in the library. Anyone who wanted photocopies of anything would have to bring in the material and place an "order" for copies. I'd spend a couple of hours a day (!) making those copies, cleaning and servicing the machine, and being sure everyone's order was filled for the day. Ha ha!! However, I've got you beat. (I think.) My senior year of high school I took a class called "Office Machines." We learned how to use a dictaphone and 10-key, but we also learned DITTO and KEYPUNCH machines! Remember those? Also, at my first post-college job, we had a *very* glamorous Telex machine (pre-faxes), I had to type 3-part NCR contracts (and we thought that was the coolest thing!) and all other written correspondence was duplicated using carbon paper.
