And, folks, she's really NOT JOKING!! My friends and I were out one night (not being New Yorkers) and enjoying singing along to the cabaret singers at Don't Tell Momma. After many scotches, we were imagining ourselves ultra-suave, and got up to boogie at Delta Dawn, or something else... The waitress came by and forced us to sit down - apparently we were breaking the law!! We were outraged, and slurred our disgust for a while until it turned into grumbles, and we eventually slunk away, thinking it was just an editorial on our sense of rhythm. THIS SHOULD HAPPEN NO MORE, I say! Embarassing poor out-of-towners, and reducing the exuberant Friday night spirit of New Yorkers. Join the movement!! What if the next NYC Frushow is somewhere where dancing is outlawed?! What will our Pisco Dancers do, and just imaging KoS without a bit of bopping, or Darlington Darling without being allowed to mirror Jian and Mur?! Hrumph! Actually, this is the first Arthurian literature I ever read and the book that got me started on the whole craze. Because it was my first impression of Morgan, I never have been able to see her as the "bad guy." Thanks for the other book suggestions! While we're on the Arthur topic, I'd also like to recommend _The Once and Future King_ by T.H. White. White does a really interesting job of relating Arthur's childhood training to themes of power and corruption (might is right, etc.). By the way, Zimmer Bradley has also written a prequel to Mists called _The Forest House_. Not nearly as good, but a decent read (and no Morgan!). Becky Sweger PS I think it's fantastic that people in the group are such avid readers.
